His broad understanding of historic letterform with his creative design interpretation of prose and poetry communicates his sensitive, unique approach to this artform. He is the major exponent of three dimensional paper sculptured works with, and without, calligraphy – to create new and exciting works of art. |
About Dave's WorkDave's calligraphic artwork evokes a deep emotional response within the discerning art lover. His creative ability is portrayed by the continual development of new ideas and concepts using such mediums as paper sculptures and hand made papers to explore the wider dimensions of the written word. Works on vellum with traditional gilding in 23ct gold are interpretations of Dave's 21st century approach to calligraphy, based however on the ancient techniques and letterforms. His works are far more than writing on a piece of paper, they are unique artworks of distinction. Experience Dave's Artworks in the virtual Gallery - FREE worldwide shipping.
